LaceySayers • 9 yr. ago. You can also farm Dragonite Ore/Empyreal Fragments (plus obsidian shards/mystic clovers/skillpoint scrolls/level up scrolls/Champ bags) by completing PVP Tracks. I usually get around 1025 dragonite ores/Empyreal Fragments on a reward box or two, then 50 Dragonite Ore/50 Empyreal Fragments on the final reward box.

Dragonite Ore (and Bloodstone Dust and Empyreal Fragments) are used for Ascended crafting. You need 500 of each to make an Ascended weapon, and 200500 of each to make a piece of Ascended armour (depending on the piece). If you are levelling your crafting skills and envision yourself getting Ascended gear, save some for that time.

It only takes a scavenger hunt achievement in Lion's Arch and eats up to 200ish dragonite ore per day in exchange for various blue/green gear and junk items. The Tequatl event usually gives around 20 pieces of dragonite ore, and the Karka Queen gives around 30. I do those two pretty regularly, and even without being a big world boss train runner otherwise, I have at least 3x more dragonite ore than I do bloodstone dust or empyreal fragments.

There are loads of guides on crafting that'll show you the cheapest way to get to 500. You can store mats in the bank and alt characters. When you craft it will pull from the bank tabs first then crafting storage. Materials are easy to get in the game. You can farm or do the more profitable metas for salvage materials.
