Never ever ball mill potassium perchlorate and aluminum together in a ball mill. There are only a few mixes of components that can be mill together. Always use saftey first when using a ball mill. Black powder can be made by milling the components singly and screenmixing together. Charcoal and potassium nitrate can be purchased premilled now, as well. Using a rock tumbler, you can make black powder faster by milling the charcoal and potassium nitrate separately. 3 component milling takes much longer to make good powder.
